Welcome to our website

We are a multi-disciplinary group in the Materials Innovation Factory (MIF) and the School of Engineering in the University of Liverpool. Our research interests in colloidal processing, complex fluids and structures, soft matter and rheology, sit at the interface of Chemistry, Materials and Engineering.

Our PI, Dr Esther Garcia-Tunon has been awarded an UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, read more here, and look out for opportunities coming up very soon.

Esther’s UKRI FLF project on complex fluids at the interface between chemistry, materials and engineering will bridge the gap between materials discovery and advanced manufacturing for energy and health applications. She will lead a team of PDRAs and PhD candidates that will work with a multi-disciplinary network of partners and collaborators in Liverpool, Loughborough (UK) and Sydney (Australia).

Esther is currently working on the refurbishment plan of our new lab that will be based in one of the Engineering buildings. We will be expanding our research activities, purchasing new equipment and hiring very soon!
